I found a dress at net-a-porter.com N' I started choosing other pieces to make an outfit. With the pieces that I picked, U can actually make more than one outfit cause I choosed more than one pair of shoes and more than one jacket. So, here it is! Ho

Finally, I'm going to present the fashion trends for this spring/summer. For now, I only have the essencial pieces but I'm going to post the colors and materials too.

Spring/Summer 2010 – Trends
[Based on Vogue Portugal Suplemento Moda]

• Pieces:

        o Shirts – Classic and large structure; wear it as a dress; perfect for a relaxed look in the hot days

        o Shorts [cycling shorts] – Wear it with rich and glamorous fabrics

         o Tight–fitting dresses – Sandglass shape; waist well defined

         o Skirts – Always short to show the legs; it may have all the shapes you want

         o Pants - Short sheaths; tight or wide

         o Trench – Coats – Wear it with metal or crystal pins; also wear it with a belt with a different color and fabric.

         o Shorts – romantic look; denim shorts are perfect for a urban look

         o Jumpsuits - Lightweight fabrics and drapes

Sorry for this days without writting anything but I've been so so so so so busy.

First of all, Moda Lisboa [Lisboa Fashion Week] is comming!!! Here is the add:

There are going to be 22 fashion shows in this fashion week, with really good fashion designers. I'm going to post here the dates.

I've also been a bit far away of the reason that I wanted to do this blog. I haven't been writting anything about the trends. So the next post [I'll try to do it today] it's going to be about Spring/Summer trends. I'm going to start working on that and I promise it's going to be the best post of ever!!! Well, maybe not. But it doesn't matter. It cannot be the best one but it can still be a good one, right?

Hi Guys! I haven't been writting because I've been a bit busy. I didn't prepare anything to say. But last week something happened and I, as a girl who loves fashion, cannot let this pass without saying anything. So, as you may know, Alexander Mcqueen died. He was one of my favourite designers. He knew how to catch our attention, he knew what women like, he had everything to be the best designer. But he died... So, Alexander rest in peace... WE LOVE YOU

First Lesson: Trends

We often hear people saying that our outside doesn't matter, only the inside counts. But please! Shut up! Being well dressed is not that bad! I mean, where's the problem on you wearing the right clothes, with the right trends? I know where the problem is and it's not in the clothes. The problem is in people's mind. They don't really know the meaning of some words, expression or fashion habits. Like trend. What's a trend? I'm going to tell you guys now what it is. Trends are the guides of fashion. Fashion makes this guides for people to follow fashion. I mean, fashion doesn't "tell" you what your style is. It just "say" the trends that you can aply on your style. For exemple: you have a boudoir style. If the trend is to use red, you'll wear your boudoir dresses with the colour of red.
Another issue is that people don't know how to separate the runway outfits of the daily outfits. And that's another thing that i'm going to explain here. The runway outfits only give you trends, trends and trends. Well, you might have seen some runway outfits on the stores but i'm pretty sure that that wasn't haute couture. High fashion shows aren't supposed to make clothes for you to wear, only the prê-à-porter can do that.
You also may see hollywood stars wearing high fashion dresses. That's tottaly normal. But please, do not use it on a wedding or something like that. Leave it to the stars at the red carpet and just take notes of the trends.
So, now that you know what trends are, I think that my first lesson is done.
For the next lesson, I'm going to talk about the two types of fashion that we have: prê-à-porter and haute couture.
